Sensei Frank Woon-A-Tai visited, inspected and assembled approximately six safe, clean, and affordable hotels in central Georgetown, each offering accommodations for one or two persons sharing a queen bed, priced at around US$100.00. Four people sharing two queen beds will be approximately $20 to $50 more. Most offer a full complimentary breakfast.
Additionally, he has identified four luxury hotels specifically for the World Cup in July.
The Information Package is nearly complete, and in the coming days, we will double-check the hotels for accurate pricing. Following this, the package will undergo a final edit. Sensei Frank anticipates delivering all requested information by the weekend, ensuring a comprehensive and well-prepared resource for your consideration.
On another note, the organizing committee is planning a Grand Benefit Gala in Sensei Frank’s honour for his Diamond Karate Anniversary – 60 years of active karate. We eagerly look forward to seeing everyone.
Moreover, the new technical guidelines shall authorize certified instructors to administer dan, instructor, examiner and judge credentials to students—requirements: ability, talent and a pledge of loyalty.
The new guidelines shall take effect immediately after the World Cup. If you are not interested in this programme, the status quo will apply to you. Please come to Guyana and take advantage of this golden opportunity in the 2024 IKD Passport.
Further, the 2024 World Cup winning region/country is based on accumulative Gold Medals won. Also, pandemic assistance of US$1,000.00 (perhaps more based on our sponsors’ generosity) shall be awarded to the winning region/country to aid your recovery.
For example, a certified IKD Master with AAA credentials can grade to fifth dan. This is not a lowering of standards but a progressive approach in karate development in light of the global pandemic that created havoc to our karate globally. The programme also applies to lower-ranked instructors. IKD’s technical records speak for itself.
